• The Arava Institute for Environmental Studies is a leading academic institution in the Middle East dedicated to advancing cross-border environmental discourse and preparing future leaders from Israel, Palestine, and Jordan.

• Rabbi Michael M. Cohen has been involved with the Arava Institute since its doors opened in 1996, dividing his time between Vermont’s Bennington College and Arava’s Kibbutz Ketura campus. He will share with us his two decades of experience with the Institute.

• Rabbi Michael Margaretten Cohen: In addition to his work for the Arava Institute, Rabbi Cohen is a regular columnist for the Jerusalem Post on topics ranging from the weekly Torah portion to reflections on American society. He is the author of “Einstein’s Rabbi: A Tale of Science and the Soul.” Cohen co-founded of the Green Zionist Alliance, and he serves on the Board of the Green Sabbath Project and the Jerusalem Peacebuilders. He is a recipient of the Eliav Sartawi Award for Middle East Journalism from Search for Common Ground.
